Mix and mingle with a group of emerging leaders from the European Union (including Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Serbia, and Slovak Republic). An excellent opportunity to meet tomorrow’s world leaders today!
The World Affairs Council’s International Visitor Program invites you to an early evening social event with a diverse group of international visitors from Europe looking at U.S. Foreign Policy Challenges. During their three-week professional development program taking them across the country, they are looking at foreign policy issues of concern to Europe and the U.S., including counter-terrorism and security, transatlantic relations, the changing roles of international organizations, transboundary environmental policy issues, and global trade trends that frame positions in U.S. foreign policy. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
This group is coming to Oregon under the auspices of the International Visitor Leadership Program — the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional development program that aims to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations.
Space is limited, registration required.
